I build a vision board. Of all the things I want to do, want to see, want to own. I make one of the clothes I want. The body I'd like to have with a pictures of my face on top of it. And that keeps me on track.
I try to distract myself with doing things I love
I listen to music and sometimes I write esp lyrics
I talk to my self lol I know I know sounds dumb but I tell my self no one can do it but me stop sitting here waiting on it to fall off. Then I put pandora on and start walking once u start you feel better. But I find not beating your self up for not walking 2 or 3 miles if my body is not up to it because of my fibromyalgia then I do what ever and try to take 5 or 10 steps more...yes some days I do 1/4 of a mile and some I do 2 1/2 miles. But I do not walk everyday it is just to much for me and you know what that is ok!!! I walk every other day.
I love aquatic therapy. Does good for me since I have rheumatoid arthritis
I clean, walk, watch something funny. I also find great motivation from talking to my husband.
