I don't have any I just eat a little what I like because if I don't I would not stay on this diet! Once a month I have something I really like, pizza, chocolate something like that! I love chocolate milk shacks in the summer so What I do is have a small one every once in a while and I make sure I count it in my calories!

Hi! Thanks for adding me to your team! I am very blessed that I am not interested in salty foods. Good thing with my congestive heart failure!! Sweets are really tough. I am trying to eat fruit when I have the urge for sweets. Not easy though!

I can understand your frustration. I can go to a gathering (which I do monthly) and watch my friends just gorge themselves in candy, chips and other calorie and fat-laden foods. I have the smallest amount possible (other than none) and I gain weight! When I went to the weight loss seminar with the University of Tennessee surgeon dr. Mancini, he mentioned that if we've been overweight for a very long time our hippocampus in the brain causes us to have a set point at the point where we have maintained a relatively stable weight for a period of time. He explained that once that happens it is nearly impossible for people who are severely obese to lose the amount of weight they need to to become healthy. This really helped me to understand my frustration and to realize that it isn't all my fault. I don't think that's a cop out either, I just think that it is information that helps me to understand why others lose when I don't and we're doing the same things.
