Good morning, I hear you... my husband had the same problem you did... during the day at work where he works on his feet all day, at night he would get cramps and charlie horses in his legs and feet that would wake him up during the night... I did some research and this is what I came up with... I went to the Natural vitamin store and spoke with one of their people about what was happening to him and this was the suggestion, I started him on Pro Mg12 complex 200 mg Elemental Magnesim G=Bisglycinate...It helps to maintain proper muscle function, helps in the development and maintenance of bones and teeth... helps in tissue formation and the body to metabolize carbohydrates, fats and proteins. In the beginning he took one in the morning and one at night and then after two weeks for maintenance he took one per day. There are also easier ways to get Magnesium... there is a cream that you can use on your legs and feet which is absorbed quicker and we used that to start immediate care... these are a bit expensive, but well worth the cost... my husband is now recovered but still follows the 1 per day for maintenance. I hope this helps... if you need more info, just let me know... Becca

Hi, I take an Advil or Tylenol before bed. It calms my legs and helps me sleep. Also I've noticed lately that I drink a hot cup of cinnamon tea with honey before bed also helps. Cinnamon and raw honey are great. Try it.

Just have to try different supplements as mentioned. Mine turned out to be circulation related so socks help a lot and B3(Niacin).

Have you had recent blood work? I am still on Zantac (antacid) and chlorthalidone for high blood pressure. Both of those are terrible for depleting your potassium, magnesium and calcium. I supplement 1000 mg of magnesium and 198 of potassium outside of my multivitamin. It does a lot for the leg and toe cramps I used to get at night. Even with that level of supplements, I fall just barely within the normal range for magnesium and always test low on potassium.

Just a thought that your meds might actually be causing your issue, if you're on any.
