I need to find balance

I struggled with that as well. But you can find balance. I did mine one at a time. First I decided to write everything I ate. Second, I looked at my food journal and realized where I could make changes. I made the changes. Third, I did an overhaul on how I eat by eating mindfully. Then I joined a gym. I worked out three times a week. Then I upped it to everyday. And now I'm up to twice a day. I do still struggle with some food choices here and there, but overall I am eating healthy and a lot less. I do believe making small changes and not moving to the next change until you have pretty much conquered the last is helpful. That doesn't mean I don't have bad days, but now they are a day here and there instead of months at a time.

I think it's because we try to follow a trend because it worked for this person or that person instead of seriously giving our self a real heart to heart about what we want and how we will successfully go about putting in the work to do it. If you take everything out at one time you are bound to fail, if you decrease it slowly you are more likely to feel less deprived and able to stick to something. The first thing I did was quit calling it a diet, and I made a lifestyle change, something that I could stick to long term verses the whole diet thing. To me the word diet means restriction the only thing I want restricting is my waist line, some hips and this stomach, not my food per say, I want good food, but I want it to be good for my body, if I have one regret after I eat it than it's no good for me and can go, because I don't need guilt I need motivation to stay the course. I hope this helps, Have a great rest of your day.
