I've tried a larger size and even a man's shoe any ideas where I could find one specifically for swollen feet?
As you can see my feet and ankles here were at their worse. Can't even see my ankles. And if you could them when normal you would really see the difference. When not swollen I actually have small trim ankles and the bones a quite pronounced . I took this pic for my doc. Funny by the time I go see her they are hardly swolllen and I wanted to show her how bad they can get and reason I was complaining about it. My cousin in Phoenix knows I have this issue and was asking the same question as you.
I have found Earth Origins wides fit my wide, swollen feet pretty well. I also have a pair of Vionics that are wide enough, but the insole takes some getting used to. I have tried so many different brands of shoes, if you want to know more specifics, just let me know.
I wear Teva Sandals. The velcro straps are fully adjustable across the toe area and ankle strap too. Of course, winter and cool weather is not for sandals, but then I wear fuzzy on the inside slippers with a GOOD TRED. I live in Vermont and we get A LOT of snow and ice! I was born crippled and had several surgeries when I was very young so I can walk. My feet are short, but thick and very wide. If I had a shoe that fit me properly it would be like a 5EEEEE. Seriously!! Good luck to you. I feel your struggle.
Thank you for the info. We can always count on you for good advice.
