How Do I Stop Emotional Eating?
A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question đź’

I eat when I am bored, I eat when I am tired, I eat when I am frustrated. I am constantly eating for reasons other than hunger. How do I stop? It's like it just slips under my radar and next thing I know, I have polished off a whole pie, or cookies or bag of potato chips.

Can anyone tell me if they have had true success with this drug? From a food addict stand point? Does it truly take away the pleasure you get from eating?

I just started taking the two drugs. It's been about 4 days. The naltrexone starts working almost immediately. I find myself not thinking about food nearly as much as I used to. I also no longer seem… read more

Does Anyone Else Here Have Arthritis In Their Back And Knees? If So, What Treatments Have Worked For You?
A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question đź’

I have arthritis in my back that has been treated with injections. I've even had the nerve endings in the L3-L5 region in my back burned and had a cortisol shot in my s1 region. The swelling is gone, but not the pain. My knees have been left untreated. The pain gets unbearable at times, but my doctor only says lose weight. I've told her several times that I'm usually an active person, but pain makes me not want to be active. I need relief. Any suggestions. I've already considered… read more

Anyone Else Have Issues With Arch, Heel, Knee, And Shin Pain?
A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question đź’

I've had issues with arch and heel pain since I was 150lbs and about 31-32% body fat. While I wasn't obese, I was overweight then. I'm currently 170lbs and 34-35% body fat according to calipers. I'm considered obese. I was 182lbs and 36% body fat back in early Febuary. Due to my low arches on my feet, if I stand for a long period of time, I get sharp and stabbing pain in my arches, heels, balls of my feet, and sometimes it extends to my knees and shins. In 2020- early 2022, it only did so in my… read more

Gastric Bypass (Roux-en-Y)
A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question đź’

I'm only 18 and I weigh 347 pounds. I was considering GBP. I've struggled with my weight all my life (weighing a whopping 210 at 8 years old). I'm graduating high school soon and am ready to start a new chapter, so that means being healthy. Should I do it? Or do I have better options?

Where To Turn? What To Do?
A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question đź’

Hi there
I have not been on this site for a while, but have missed it. My mom was sick, and passed away in January of this year. I am not good AT ALL at loving myself. I love others, and want nothing but good for them, but I tend to sabotage myself. I would like to keep in touch with others who might be feeling the same way. I am 53, weigh 240, and I’m only 5’3” tall. I feel like I’m older than I really am. I am premenopausal, and that’s not helping me any. I want to be positive for… read more
