Undereating
A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question 💭

People always think that because you're overweight that means you overeat. My doctor has actually told me that I need to eat more, but I don't normally have an appetite. I need meal suggestions to help increase my food intake. What can I do? Eating when I'm not hungry makes me nauseous, and my meds suggest I eat.

I find the more we eat, of healthy foods, the more our metabolism burns off calories. I start my day with a meal replacement and protein shake within half an hour of waking up, and then I eat a small, healthy meal every 3 hours after that with another meal replacement and protein shake for lunch. The more protein you eat, the more full you will feel so try to get protein into every meal with things like greek yogurt, protein powders, turkey pepperoni, mozza cheese, cottage cheese, peanut butter.... I have lost 20 lbs in about 6 weeks eating this way and walking my dogs for at least half an hour every day. Good luck!

I like the protein cheese, nut snacks are good for that. wheni worked i would set an alarm for 2-3 hours and eat one of the small snacks. it helps stay off the blood sugar hills and vally's.

This happened to me as well. For a long time I was not eating enough and when I did eat I wasn't actually feeding my cells but filling the cravings in system. Psychological disorders haven't helped.
