Lapband Bypass Revision
A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question 💭

Have you had lapband to bypass revision? In one surgery or done in two surgeries? I. Worried about complications if done in one surgery.

I,originally, had the open vertical banded gastroplasty (stomach stapling with a band at the bottom) after regaining over 1/2 of the weight I had lost I had a revision to gastric bypass. (There were other health concerns in there that necessitated getting the surgery quickly). I really didn't have trouble with the revision, my surgeon used the same scar to do the revision and did an excellent job! Took a little getting used to cause with the stomach stapling you can eat ANYTHING just less. Not so with the bypass, you def are limited in WHAT you eat as well as how much.
