Which Diet To Go For?
A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question 💭

So have heard a lot about blood group diets and the miracle cabbage soup diet. I just want to know...
1. How safe are they?
2. Do they really work?
3. Would you advice me to go on any of them?

I have been on so many diets in my life, the cabbage soup diet included. None of it worked very well as I now know that my mind set was not right. The one diet that does work is Prof Tim Noakes's Banting diet. (Lots of protein and animal fat.) If you read his book, one realize that what he says make sense, and having the green yellow and red food lists, definitely makes it easier. However I find it expensive. My husband is using a new product at the moment which is working like magic. I tried it for a week and lost 3 kg. But it gave me very bad heart palpitations to the point that I thought I was having a heart attack. ( Read the information slip afterwards and found out that one is not suppose to use it if you are on thyriod meds or bp meds, which I am) The name is "The Secret" and I do not know if it is available anywhere out of South Africa. But for those desperate to loose weight I think this is the product to try.

Tebogo to tell you the truth - I dont know. I have never before followed any of the 2. If have to chose I will do the blood group diet as it is not a crash diet - you will have a better variety what you can eat so you most probably wont crave stuff so much. Its a more natural balanced diet - you just eat what is good for your bloodgroup but that include something from everything. What bloodgroup are you?

Don't diet. Make healthy choices and try to be active. It's about changing your lifestyle permanently
