Members offered creative solutions for exercising indoors when heat and shared living spaces make it challenging, with many emphasizing that gentle movement like walking in place, figure eights around the apartment, or light stretching can be just as beneficial as intense workouts. Several members recommended practical at-home options including workout DVDs, YouTube fitness videos, resistance bands, portable DVD players for privacy, and balance boards that can be used while watching TV. A recurring theme was finding low-impact activities that work within personal limitations and living situations, with members bonding over shared struggles with heat sensitivity and the need to adapt fitness routines to real-life constraints.

a couple of years ago I got a fit board and I love it. You twist on the board but the thing is that you must have balance or hold on to something while doing it. It is a good thing to have around if you are watching tv and you want to exercise. I need to use it more this year. I do 15 mins on it and then I take a break and then come back to it.

Get some of those elastic stretch bands and go on u tube to see how to use them
Its good exercise you can do anywhere basically. It burns fat and strengthens your muscles.

I workout with dvd's and workout with them workout vido's on YouTube! I love to walk but it's been way too hot here unless you get up at 6:o'clock in the morning! Ask her if she could share the tv for a little while or get you one of the potable dvd players like the ones kids use! You can plug them in and they do run on batterys! You don't need a tv at all with one of them! That is what I have and I love it!
