I had gastric sleeve April 30,2025. So far, I’ve lost 69 pounds and a lot of inches. I went from 20-22 to 12-14 in pants. I’m 63 and 5’4. So far, knock on wood, I haven’t had any real problems. I tried everything before surgery. Since menopause it’s like I had zero metabolism. Get a good Dr! I had to do 6 months of seeing a nutritionist and try to lose weight. This was my insurance requirements. I lost about 20 pounds before surgery.

Twice. Checkout my profile. I wouldn't say, "If I can do it, Anybody can do it". I HATE that expression. But when you decide to go that direction, if you decide to, make sure you get a reputable surgeon with great reviews. My first sleeve surgery wasn't successful (and I went with a surgeon who advertised on t.v). The second sleeve (revision) was successful, with a different surgeon (who didn't advertise). I had the surgery nearly 3 years ago. It took me nearly 1 1/2 years to complete the weight loss. I just had the excess skin removed this summer and am thoroughly thrilled with the results. At 66 years old, life has so much more to offer and I am looking forward to the journey ahead.
