Members shared a wide range of personal approaches to the question of following a specific diet for obesity, with the most common theme being that strict diets don't work and that building a healthy lifestyle is more sustainable. Several members focused on practical strategies like portion control using smaller plates, cutting out sodas and white starches, prioritizing protein, drinking plenty of water, and exercising regularly, with one member losing 37 pounds since June. Apps like Reverse Health, Lose It, and programs like GOLO and the Mediterranean diet were also mentioned as helpful tools for staying on track.

I started the Mediterranean diet last week, as was recommended for liver disease. I lost 5 1/2lbs my first week. It is definitely a change but will hopefully keep the scaring in my liver from progressing.
