Anyone Deal With Chronic Itching And Skin Conditions?
A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question 💭

I came to this site hoping to find someone that shares my experience. For the last 3 years I have suffered from chronic itching and skin yeast infections. My doctor sent me to a dermatologist who looked under my breast and said yeast. He told me to soak in vinegar and walked out the door. I listened and began soaking. My symptoms still persisted. I have itching under my arms, under and between my breast, in my butt crack, in my perrinial area, in my groin and of course vaginal yeast infections… read more

I get the yeast infections under my belly roll, under my breasts and other places. I think it comes with being over weight, ive always gotten really bad ones. I clean it with soap and water then wipe with an incontinent bath wipe, they are good for everything. I did use deodorant but it stings bad on a raw rash area. I dry it and use corn starch, bottles of off brand baby powder corn starch for my pads, a tin with a box of corn starch from the baking section is awesome, I get that cheap tin of talc from walmart, throw away the talc and keep the powder puff ontop inside and use that in the tin and dust myself with corn starch. I also use a big jar of desitin ointment, it's a moisture blocker and it's just what the nursing homes use on the elderly to block moisture in these areas, but without the zinc. It works. I go the hard route because nothing beats waking up and hitting the deodorant bottle to a yeast rash and yelling because it hurt, lol! corn starch, desitin ointment jar, incontinent bath wipes, soap water, bottles of baby powder corn starch (not talc) it works for me.

There is a Perscription powder your doctor can give you called NYSTOP. I have issues once a year under one breast with it feeling raw and dr. Said was a type of yeast infection. He gave me five refilled and only used one. It cleared up the problem for that area. I don’t know if you can use it anywhere else on your body. Hope this helps some.

I've noticed since I gained 100 lbs that I itch on my legs and arms and back area. Sometimes under my arms, but I find using deodorant under arms, breasts and private area helps keep sweat away and reducing my itch in those areas. But I also take a prescription strength benadryl that eases the itch for me. Prayers and hugs to you.
