Hi, I'm 39 years old and am having a lot of trouble losing weight. I need help making a meal plan that will help me lose 30-40 pounds, and I don't really care how boring it is, and the more specific it is the better (time to eat, exact quantities etc). I don't know if I should go to a dietician or if someone here can help me with a plan or point me in the right direction.

Also, I can prepare food while I am at home, but when I am at work I can not prepare food b/c I work 12 hour shifts… read more

I use a diabetic book to make Meals and I don't eat a lot of bread and I have slowed down on the soda too.

Wrap that salad! I always found a wrapped salad more satisfying than a bowl.

Salad bar can be a good choice. The thing that you have to be careful is the salad dressings. Some are very high in calories. I would say buy one you like and bring it with you to work. Add some protein like chicken and if you like beans there good.
