Members shared deeply personal advice for anyone navigating their weight and health journey, with the most consistent themes being self-forgiveness after setbacks, taking things slow and steady rather than rushing results, and remembering that sustainable change is about building a healthy lifestyle rather than cycling through restrictive diets. Several members emphasized practical strategies that have worked for them, including meal planning and prep, drinking plenty of water, incorporating movement through chair exercises or walking around the house, tracking food honestly without guilt, focusing on body composition over the scale, and allowing treats in moderation without self-punishment. A recurring theme was the importance of patience, surrounding yourself with supportive people, relying on inner strength or faith to stay committed, and prioritizing mental health and joy over perfection, with many members celebrating milestones like giving up soda, losing significant weight through gastric bypass or lifestyle changes, and learning to live fully while making healthier choices.

Surround yourself with like minded people that give you positive support. Maybe someone on the same journey. When you fail, start over again. Don't take any shortcuts. You failed cause you ignored the success you already had and need to be reminded how you got so far.

I would say don't beat yourself up! Journal as much as you can. Take it
slow and build up your progress. Do chair exercises! I do bloom young on
line. Drink water all day. Limit your juice and soda.

In the morning the hardest part is right when we get up, the pain is just so severe that we don't want to move.... It can be very discouraging and lead to no action what so every. The thing is get up drink a glass of water and just do something. I like doing squats off the side of my bed and leg lifts at my chair....
