Being a mother there is no breaks and you don't get the clock out and it gets exhausting after a while it's really hard to get self-care in there on some days I'm just looking for some advice about how I can be consistent with taking better care of myself as a new mother.

How can you stay motivated and consistent with self-care as a stay-at-home mom?

Being a stay-at-home mom is incredibly demanding, and it's completely normal to struggle with finding time and energy for yourself. Even small steps can make a big difference in how you feel both physically and emotionally.

Start by focusing on small, achievable goals rather than trying to change everything at once. These "little victories" can help you build healthy habits and boost your confidence. One MyObesityTeam member shared their approach: finding their "why" — their personal reason that keeps them going even on tough days.

Here are some practical ways to work self-care into your daily routine:

* Stay hydrated by keeping water nearby throughout the day
* Prioritize sleep when you can, even if it means napping when your baby naps
* Take short movement breaks — even a few minutes of stretching or walking helps
* Practice mindfulness during everyday moments, like taking deep breaths before meals
* Connect with other moms who understand what you're going through

Try scheduling specific times for self-care, even if it's just 10-15 minutes. Put your needs on the calendar just like you would any other important appointment.

Remember to be kind to yourself. Some days will be easier than others, and that's completely expected. Stressful periods make it harder to stick to healthy habits, and that's OK.

Taking care of yourself isn't selfish — it helps you be the best parent you can be.
