Where To Turn? What To Do?
A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi there
I have not been on this site for a while, but have missed it. My mom was sick, and passed away in January of this year. I am not good AT ALL at loving myself. I love others, and want nothing but good for them, but I tend to sabotage myself. I would like to keep in touch with others who might be feeling the same way. I am 53, weigh 240, and I’m only 5’3” tall. I feel like I’m older than I really am. I am premenopausal, and that’s not helping me any. I want to be positive for… read more

Those Of You Who Weigh 300 Pounds Or More, How Often Do You Get Fat-shamed?
A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question 💭

Fat-shaming is very damaging and its perpetrators tend to be sadistic. What we need to know is who does it and why they do it. In motives we can discern actions, your story can help put an end to it. Be brave.

A MyObesityTeam Member

Elice, the sad truth is, most people who are super-obese literally expect that kind of thing, and are on guard against it constantly, which of course makes it worse. Thanks for sharing. Marion, good… read more

How Do I Stop Emotional Eating?
A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question 💭

I eat when I am bored, I eat when I am tired, I eat when I am frustrated. I am constantly eating for reasons other than hunger. How do I stop? It's like it just slips under my radar and next thing I know, I have polished off a whole pie, or cookies or bag of potato chips.

What Is Wrong With Me?
A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question 💭

I eat at most twice a day. But usually once. I don’t ray out very much. Maybe once a month. I quit snacks and sodas. The drs said my weight gain is due to the medication I take. Which is a lot. I guess I’m asking why I one month I’m 280. And then down to 269. How am I loading it when I’m not eating different or exercise.

do not cut the meds completely or change the dosage, without talking to your doctor before, cos that can be worst thing for your health.
